Alexander Enjoys a Magical Dream Trip to the Florida Theme Parks
Alexander, with myleomeningocele, enjoyed a magical dream trip to the Florida theme parks with his family. He enjoyed meeting the Disney characters, visiting Sea World, and many other fun activities.
Thank you from Alexander’s Family
“We went to Volcano Bay, SeaWorld, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. One day he was admitted to Orlando Children’s hospital, thankfully it was one day and was able to resume our vacation. We had so much fun! Thank you for allowing us to have this trip. We made great ever-lasting memories!” – mom, Vanessa
Alexander’s Diagnosis
Alexander has myleomeningocele (also known as spina bifida), a congenital condition in which the backbone and spinal canal don’t close before birth. This results in the spinal cord and its protective covering (meninges) protruding outside the body and subsequent muscle weakness or paralysis below the affected area.
Sponsors
We are grateful to a generous private donor and the Adopt A Dream donors for making Alexander’s dream come true!
